Hiking - Walking: Hemley - Suffolk Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: 2 Sea Temperature: Weather: snowy Max Speed: Distance Covered:
After a morning sorting around the house, making homemade soup and taking
the cat to the vet !!! :( - she's okay - just old !!! so after dinner Mag
and I decided to make the most of the sunshine and go for a walk. By the
time we reached Newbourne park the sun had gone and it was snowing nicely
!!! :) We decided the don the walking boots, wrap up warm and head for
Hemley through the woods and fields and it was wonderful to be out in the
snow and we were not cold at all. We passed the lovely hamlet that is
Hemley and down to the River Deben, we couldn't get to the riverside to
start with as the tide was at it's highest and the creeks were full so we
had a wonder for awhile as the tide turned and the snow stopped and the sun
came out and we had the most wonderful sunset and it looked lovely with a
fine dusting of fresh snow :) There were a few birds about including 20
curlews heading back to the river after grazing on the fields and large
flocks of geese too :) We then went back to Felixstowe to get the local
paper in which I had 4 pics published !!! so a good day including a 2 hour
walk in the snow :)
